Luckie & Company

LUCKIE, an innovative, 70-year-old brand agency, made a strategic move. They relocated their longtime headquarters from a suburban business park to a renovated warehouse in downtown Birmingham.

Business Interiors partnered with Williams Blackstock Architects, who defined the shape of the interiors. BI was tasked with providing furnishing solutions for both open and private workspaces, as well as open and semi-private collaborative and meeting spaces. The project needed to inspire the employees and their clients, given the agency’s reputable history and consistent innovation in the highly competitive advertising market.

IDIE Award Winner
The BI Team’s work on the Luckie project earned a major honor. We won the IDIE Award for “Furniture Install | Small” at the biannual 2023 IIDA Alabama IDIE Awards last Friday evening.

Congratulations to the BI team members that worked on the Luckie project, and congratulations to all the other firms, dealerships, and IDIE Award winners who submitted projects to this year’s awards. It was a wonderful night celebrating design excellence.

Fetch

Fetch

The Wisconsin-based rewards app company Fetch opened a new Birmingham branch earlier this year. Located in the former headquarters of real estate company Shannon Waltchak, the building was the area’s first-of-its-kind sustainable shipping container office. The new location provides employees with a landing space for in-person meetings and collaboration, and individual workstations, a complement to Fetch’s remote-first hybrid office model.

The BI team assisted Fetch in all aspects of the renovation, including coordinating new paint, new carpet, millwork, electrical, acoustical materials, and furniture. Great job, all!
