This year Herman Miller is debuting a new shape for the Eames Turned Stool, straight from the archives. Charles and Ray Eames designed this group of sculptural wood stools in 1960 in a number of shapes for the lobbies of the Time & Life Building at Rockefeller Center in New York City.

Ingenious Versatility
A versatile piece that can be used as a stool, table, or objet d’art. The stool is made using a unique wood-turning process that involves three separate pieces, which are turned on an axis and carved into different forms, then stacked together to blend in seamlessly.
