As part of the Sheraton Birmingham Hotel’s renovation, four Presidential Suites were reimagined to provide an elevated hospitality experience for VIP guests, performers, and executive travelers visiting the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex.
Owned by the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center Authority and designed by KPS Group, the project builds on the hotel’s renovated lobby while extending the refreshed design language into its most exclusive guest accommodations.
Business Interiors partnered with the project team to furnish the suites and provide the accessories that complete each space, helping bring the design vision to life through carefully coordinated furnishings and finishing details.
Suites designed for comfort and flexibility
The renovation includes four Presidential Suites — two large suites and two smaller configurations. Each suite is designed to function as a private residence within the hotel, offering comfort, privacy, and flexibility for extended stays or small gatherings.
Each suite includes:
- A primary bedroom with an adjoining bathroom
- A secondary guest bedroom suite
- Three bathrooms in total
- A dining area
- A dedicated study/workspace
- A spacious living room for hosting or relaxing
The layouts required furnishings that support a variety of uses, from quiet work sessions to informal meetings and private entertaining.
Thoughtful details throughout
Across the suites, layered textures, rich tones, and fluted furniture details create visual depth while reinforcing a cohesive design story. Carefully selected textiles, artwork, and accessories complete the spaces and help establish a refined, residential character.
Business Interiors worked closely with the design and construction teams to ensure each element—from furnishings to finishing accessories—aligned with the design intent while meeting the performance expectations of a hospitality environment.
